This hymn brings me to tears every time.  Last verse of “The Power of the Cross” ~Words and Music by Keith Getty & Stuart Townend

Oh, to see my name
Written in the wounds,
For through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death;
Life is mine to live,
Won through Your selfless love.

This, the pow’r of the cross:
Son of God—slain for us.
What a love! What a cost!
We stand forgiven at the cross.

I am so very thankful for Christ’s death and resurrection- and the privilege to stand forgiven at the cross.  Easter was a great day. We loved our morning worship and were able to enjoy an afternoon of friends from church and our neighborhood. The rain stayed away for the most part, and there was an abundance of food. I wish I had had an extra hand to be able to take pictures of the fun. I hope your Easter was a wonderful one and filled with love and joy.

    The choir sang that song at the Kirk Sunday – orchestra playing along. It was beautiful. I just cried. Easter was extra great this year.

    Your family is gorgeous – just perfect.
