We went to church and then went outside for pictures. So many precious children! They all looked so good in their Easter outfits.
Our family attempted a family photo.
We ate an Easter brunch at church with our sweet church family, headed home for naps, and then went to our pastor’s home for Easter dinner. When I say “we”, I mean our whole church! She invites everyone to their backyard and we have an incredible time hanging out together. She is a gifted hostess and their house is always open to our church. They are known for housing anyone who needs a place and her cooking is out of this world! My skill set is way smaller! I was in charge of the children’s table- you know, chicken fingers, fruit, vegetables, cheese and desserts!
My sweet friend Julie came over the night before and helped me put the silverware together. Eric didn’t know what they were supposed to look like. We were nervous no one would, and we made a pact not to say who did them unless someone said something like,”How cute! Carrots! Who made those?” 🙂 Well, we ended up “planting” someone who said loudly how cute the carrot silverware was. Thanks Renee. Speaking of Renee, you may remember her from the women’s retreat and how delicious her cupcakes were. She did some for the kids’ table and they were a big hit!
Mrs Vechinski put on an awesome egg hunt/ scavenger hunt. Our kids teamed up with older kids to figure out riddles and get candy. Everything she does is creative and well done. This was no exception!
There was also cookie decorating- thanks to Mrs Wingard, Mrs Bouvier, and Mrs Smith! It was a big hit!
I hope your Easter was filled with loved ones and the certain promise that our Savior is Risen. He is Risen Indeed!
