Olivia and kate with their new summer cuts after volleyball camp today.

We just got back from the beach Sunday night and first thing this morning Olivia had volleyball camp.  This was her birthday present from my dad and marian.  They made a cute card for her that had a volleyball and net on it and gave her new knee pads! She is very official! She and her friend Kate are the youngest at the camp.  They look soooo little in there with the big girls.  I love that she is learning a team sport, going through drills, having to learn how to learn something (which may sound strange, but she is figuring out that you don’t just immediately know how to serve overhand and it may take a LONG time to learn it), and playing a sport that I love too.  I am praying for her this week that she gains confidence in learning how to learn, that she gives herself the grace to learn something new, and that she has lots of FUN being part of a team.

I loved playing volleyball. I was lucky that I got to play from 5th – 8th grade! I love Olivia’s summer-do. And she has great teeth. They are so straight. Lucky girl and you!
