O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!
Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, spread His praise from shore to shore!
How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore!
How He watches o’er His loved ones, died to call them all His own;
How for them He intercedeth, watcheth o’er them from the throne!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, love of every love the best!
’Tis an ocean full of blessing, ’tis a haven giving rest!
O the deep, deep love of Jesus, ’tis a heaven of heavens to me;
And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee!

I love to hear this hymn sung with its beautiful music behind it.  The deep, deep love of Jesus that is the best love of every kind of love, is an ocean full of blessing, is a haven that gives rest~ Those beautiful images that tell us where to go when life is overwhelming, when days are busy and going at a frantic pace, when seasons are swelling with activity, when circumstances are more than we can stand.  The deep, deep love of Jesus has done the work.  It accomplished what we needed most on the cross and it ministers to us now as we walk on this side of that event. That repeated phrase: deep, deep love.  It is richer, fuller, wider, more extensive than we can imagine.  Praying that His deep, deep love will take hold of your heart and mine tonight.
