“This is my Father’s world. O let me ne’er forget that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet.”
Maltbie D. Babcock – “This Is My Father’s World” 1901
I love this hymn. This is my Father’s World. And after days like today where we watch such violence abound in Libya and Egypt- when we feel the weight of death around us- when we hear of wrong doing and we know of the hurt that invades this world…The truth in this hymn centers me and reminds me who is in control. It pulls my eyes back to the Creator. It causes me to hope in the All Powerful Name above every other name. And it challenges me to let go of my own little kingdoms and be a servant in His alone.
